Regulus Resources Inc. has released the results from two additional drill holes at the company's AntaKori copper-gold-silver project in northern Peru. The drilling campaign is under way in collaboration with Compania Minera Coimolache SA (CMC), the operator of the Tantahuatay gold mine, immediately to the south of the AntaKori project (please refer to Regulus's news releases of Jan. 24 and April 5, 2017). Holes reported in this news release are AK-17-002, drilled by Regulus, and DHSF17-160, drilled by Coimolache. The two companies are drilling simultaneously, hence two numbering sequences for drill holes exist. Results are only reported herein for the portions of the drill holes that occur within Regulus's concessions.

TR17-16 was the first major trench constructed at the Bluto target this season and was concentrated on a trail built with heavy equipment to access a water source that would be utilized in the planned 2017 Bluto diamond drilling exploration program. During the course of constructing this access trail a large, six-metre-long low-lying scorodite-bering heavily fractured quartz vein was uncovered near the headwaters of Indicator Creek.

The Company’s current NI 43-101 compliant mineral resource of 515,000 ounces grading 1.71 g/t gold in the Indicated category, and an additional 364,000 ounces grading 1.44 g/t gold in the Inferred category, encompasses the Pine Tree-Josephine zone only. The Pine Tree-Josephine Zone hosts two historical underground gold mines and covers a strike length of roughly one kilometre, out of a total strike of four kilometres over which the Mother Lode shear zone (the “Shear Zone”) is interpreted to extend on the Property.
